Interestingly, I don't drink a lot of green juice during summer when fresh veggies and fruit are abound. Somehow, it is now, with winter and grey skies closing in, that I feel like having green juice to bring my body back to balance.
I also LOVE winter greens (like the beautiful mustard greens and kale varieties). Whatever works and what is in season is how I roll, usually.
Yet sometimes making green juice seems kind of daunting. Oh the prep,, and, then the clean-up... Yikes! I mean, who wants to clean up all that mess from a fancy juicer afterwards? That is if you have a fancy juicer, to begin with..
Well, I am here to tell you that you 1) don't really need a fancy juicer. (Got a blender? That's great! ) 2) can make delicious green juice super quickly and 3) don't really have to face a mess to clean up afterwards.
Yep, you can have your juice and drink it too:-)! Here is how.
Yes, I am using a "fancy" Vitamix here and, no you don't need one to get your green juice on. Any high speed blender will do just fine.
Then you simply do something else with your life for 10 minutes or so. I am sure you can find plenty of other things to do instead of attending to that strainer, right:-)? Like taking a shower to get yourself ready for your day or talking to your kids. Whatever strikes your fancy. You do NOT need to attend to that strainer or push your juice contents down it. Just let it be. Refreshing, no?
It looks fantastic and the clean-up is minimal. A simple rinse will clean the strainer and you just clean your blender the way you usually would (a simple rinse will suffice in this case).
That was very cool, super simple, and quick! So get your green juice on, ladies!
Here is how: 1) You can now simply go purchase a package online for a loved one (or, even better, ask your loved one to get YOU one:-)). Right here. 2) The purchaser gets the confirmation email (with all the info and the scheduling links, etc.) to forward to the lucky recipient. And there is even an option to print a paper gift certificate automatically "old school style" to put under that Christmas tree. That's it!
I think this is pretty awesome. Even though I might be biased. And here is that cool link again to generate your magic gift certificate codes online if you happen to agree:-). Happy Holidays!
